Eagles vs Patriots

Both starting quarterbacks from the ballgame will make their preseason debut, with Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles finally ready for action after some neck and head soreness. Tom Brady reportedly has a sore back but will be in action for a series or two.

Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz is not expected to play as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. Wentz reportedly would like to start taking part in 11-on-11 drills next week.

While most preseason football games are considered meaningless, the Thursday night tilt between the defending Super Bowl Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots will be anything but boring TV.

You have a rematch of Super Bowl LII, with the underdogs of that game — led by Lane Johnson — now feeling like the tables have turned, and there’s a new big-dog leading the NFL.

What’s at stake?

Three points and early momentum in the title race. Beating your title rivals always plays a big factor in the end, and while it remains to be seen if this Arsenal team has what it takes, three points here will bring huge excitement early in the season. City, however, is the favorite to win this one after winning the league last season.
Prediction

On the road, City knows how to get the job done. While I can see them slipping up here, I think Arsenal is going to take some time to get going, as Pep Guardiola’s team uses a Gabriel Jesus goal to win. City 2, Arsenal 1.

Riyad Mahrez could make his debut as one of the few major signings that Pep Guardiola’s side made during the summer transfer window.

Unai Emery will face a tough test for his first game in charge as Arsenal fans hope for a better campaign than last season when they finished in sixth place.

Manchester City won both league games against Arsenal last season as well as a 3-0 victory in the League Cup final.

Croatia vs France

Les Bleus will be appearing in their third final, having won in 1998 and lost to Italy on penalties in 2006 after having Zinedine Zidane sent off in extra time.

Croatia, by contrast, will be featuring in the showpiece for the first time in their history.

According to Tom Doyle of the Evening Standard, France have no injury or suspension concerns, so Didier Deschamps will be free to choose from his entire 23-man squad,

Croatia also have no suspensions, but could be without Ivan Strinic, who’s said to be a doubt because of the groin injury that forced him off in extra time against England in the semi-finals.

Preview
Two years on from losing the UEFA Euro 2016 final on home soil to Portugal, France have the best shot at redemption they could have hoped for.

Many of the key players in their side were present for that defeat in the European Championship, and as The Independent’s Miguel Delaney noted, there could be some added pressure on them to succeed on Sunday as a result:

They will perhaps be even heavier favourites here given the relative size of their opposition.

Croatia are hardly football minnows, but the scale of their achievement is enormous:
Les Bleus will not only be favourites because of the overall superiority of their personnel but also because Croatia, having been taken to extra time in all three knockout matches, have played a combined 90 minutes more than them.

For the likes of Luka Modric and Mario Mandzukic, who are both 32, that could be have a significant impact given France’s energy and pace.

Contending with his tireless work rate is a tough task at the best of times, but with the miles on Croatia’s ageing legs, it will be even more difficult.

Croatia have shown tremendous technical, physical and mental qualities to reach the final, though—they should not be underestimated.

France vs Croatia

It has been an extremely dramatic world cup 2018, where no team has been easy to beat ib those 90 minutes of play. We have seen big teams being held back by nations thought some resilient defending. But as we approach the end of the group stages we have some brilliant matches coming up earlier than expecter thanks to some of the upsets that have occurred so far in the world cup. France vs Croatia Live Match Here,

World Cup Final 2018 Live Link

This is it. The 2018 FIFA World Cup is down to its last two survivors, France and Croatia. England and Belgium will play in a mildly intriguing third-place playoff on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT, Fox and Telemundo), but the main attraction, the World Cup final, is on Sunday morning here in the US.

When: Sunday at 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT)
Where: Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow

France could try to play with the counterattacking style that has brought them success. Modric and Rakitic like to have the ball and control the tempo of the game and France could be pragmatic and decide to defend and wait for Mbappe’s runs to conquer the trophy for them. It will be an interesting game to wrap up what has been a very unusual 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Team News

According to Tom Doyle of the Evening Standard, France have no injury or suspension concerns, so Didier Deschamps will be free to choose from his entire 23-man squad,

Croatia also have no suspensions, but could be without Ivan Strinic, who’s said to be a doubt because of the groin injury that forced him off in extra time against England in the semi-finals.

Prediction

France ends Croatia’s dream with a thoroughly impressive attacking performance as the country wins its second World Cup title. France 3, Croatia 1.
